My name is Gordon Chester, I am born and raised in the Cambrian area, and I want to represent you as the next District 9 City Councilmember. I have taken the time to learn how and why you, the people, say that we need to improve our safety and address our numerous housing issues. As your District 9 City Council Member, I will represent you and pave the road towards a safer city, a more sustainable city, and a city that offers everyone the opportunity to achieve the happiness they are pursuing.

It starts with you! You are part of the social ties that connect our community. San José has long been home to construction workers, teachers, police officers, firefighters, nurses, and other working people we rely on daily. San José needs to work harder to find solutions for housing, transportation, small businesses, and a city budget that allows everyone to be invested. We can work together to achieve the vision for a city of opportunity and prosperity.
